Rustles of Spring was one of my Grandpa Bastian's favorite songs. He died when I was four years old. When my mom was in high school, he promised her $100 if she could learn to play it. Though she didn't learn to play this song, it was one of her favorite songs because my grandpa loved it. I wanted to learn to play this song, so I asked my piano teacher and he said that I was good enough to learn it. So, I learned to play it in honor of my grandpa.
